A Sisterhood Rooted in Faith: My Love for Sisters’ Halaqah

I absolutely loveeeeeee my sisters at Sisters’ Halaqah!!!
For the past two and a half years, I’ve been making du’a to Allah, asking for sisters in faith who share the same singular goal as me: to live and love in this dunya fi’ sabilillah (for the sake of Allah), with the ultimate aim of reaching Jannatul Firdaus (Ameen, ya Rabb!).
And Allah, in His infinite mercy, answered my prayers.
A Bond Beyond Boundaries
What makes this sisterhood so special is that it transcends all worldly labels. It doesn’t matter where we come from, what our backgrounds are, or what our individual goals in this life may be. Most of us haven’t even seen each other’s faces, masha’Allah, and yet, the connection we share is profound.
I’ve never been prouder to be part of a community of women who are constantly striving to uphold their Hijab, seek knowledge (ilm), and grow closer to Allah. This sisterhood has become a source of strength and inspiration for me, especially as a revert.
For so long, I felt alone in my struggles—trying to navigate my faith, maintain my Hijab, and seek knowledge while balancing the challenges of life. But now, Alhamdulillah, I no longer feel isolated. I’ve found a tribe of women who understand, support, and uplift one another.
The Alimah Program: A Journey of Knowledge and Sisterhood
One of the most beautiful aspects of this sisterhood is that many of us are enrolled in the Alimah Program at Maryam Institute. Recognizing the need for a support system, our dear sister Fara Rasiman took the initiative to create weekly Halaqah study sessions for the program.
If you’ve been considering enrolling in the Alimah Program but hesitated due to the lack of a support system, now is the perfect time to join us, in shaa’ Allah. Together, we navigate the challenges, celebrate the victories, and keep each other motivated.
But let me be honest—this program is not for the faint-hearted. It demands dedication, discipline, and a deep love for seeking knowledge.
Real Talk: The Struggles and Blessings
Our Halaqah sessions are a testament to our commitment. Sometimes, we’re at our desks, fully focused. Other times, we’re on the go, juggling life’s responsibilities. And yes, there are moments when we’ve passed out in the middle of late-night study sessions (timezone struggles are real!).
But through it all, we remind ourselves: Alhamdulillah for everything.
The challenges are real, but so are the blessings. Every late-night study session, every moment of exhaustion, and every breakthrough in understanding brings us closer to Allah and to each other.
A Message to My Sisters
To my beloved sisters at Sisters’ Halaqah: you are my source of strength, my motivation, and my family in faith. Your dedication to your Hijab, your pursuit of knowledge, and your unwavering commitment to Allah inspire me every single day.
And to anyone reading this: if you’ve been searching for a community of like-minded sisters who are striving for the same goal—Jannatul Firdaus—know that you are not alone. Join us. Let’s walk this path together, supporting and uplifting one another, in shaa’ Allah.
Final Thoughts
This sisterhood is more than just a group—it’s a lifeline. It’s a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles or our aspirations. Together, we are stronger, and together, we can achieve the ultimate goal: the pleasure of Allah and a place in Jannatul Firdaus.
Ameen, ya Rabb.
With love and gratitude,
Your sister in faith 💕
