Muslims were shook with Andrew Tate converting to Islam. Who wouldn’t be? The way he was received, the followers he had, the things he promote, the hate he spewed, the alleged crimes he was accused of, etc.

But if there is one thing I could related to as a revert/convert myself is that time in the journey to Allah and Islam where I needed my people… they weren’t there. To be honest, even the Muslim people I thought I could go to.

People who didn’t know me, they were the more encouraging ones, while those who lived through certain things with you just either didn’t want you to “change” or press their own doubts on you.

I didn’t get it back then, and I don’t get it even now. Are they also in doubt with the Turner of Hearts?

When I saw the video where the guy was in the masjid, I didn’t doubt for one second. Not many noticed this, but just look at his feet… (only Muslims will get this though).

The masses came to him yet again for this, clout they say. And at one point (a few seconds in the video), I thought it was too. I caught myself quick enough… We humans are so judgmental.

Now that it is proven to be true, all I can say is… if it is in Allah’s plan then there is a very good reason and purpose for this.

Here are some things we can take from this and any other conversion this day on:

  1. Allah guides whom He wills.
  2. Be glad your sins aren’t public.
  3. All the Muslim boys and men who took him as someone to look up to, have a high chance of not being led astray from Islam now that he himself is on the path.
  4. He has a Muslim friend who is currently guiding him along the way, make Dua for them. Be that Muslim friend to a convert, we definitely lost friends and even family with our journey to Islam… Not every convert has the chance, opportunity or even in the right place to get not only resources but the brotherhood and sisterhood they need and deserve.
  5. Yes, this doesn’t mean he has a pure heart as some people claim, but just a little self-reflection and awareness… do you?
  6. Once he had taken the Shahadah, whether you like it or not… his slate is wiped clean. This is your one big sign not to lose hope and turn back to Allah, because it is proof he is Al Rahman, Al Raheem.
  7. There are those who claim some converts or reverts only say the Shahadah in their tongue but not in the heart… If you find yourself doubting the sincerity (of any revert/convert), for any reason you think why they accepted Islam…to be honest, I don’t know why anyone would. No matter how well you think you know the person in his or her darkest moments. This is the time to literally catch yourself, why do you feel this way? Again, do you have any doubt in the Turner of Hearts? How well can you make a claim on someone?

Allah guides whom He wills. No matter the past, how the journey will be. For whatever reason it may be, even if its mediocre in human moral standards.
