I wrote a lot..

Yep, in past tense. Haven’t written anything in par to what I do back then.
Mostly fiction…. short stories and poetry.
And drafts on top of another on Scrivener.

It’s been so long, to be honest… that I even convinced myself that I quit.

I have battled with myself for the past years, with the words I penned and some debris left inside my head. And while novel ideas come one after another onto the drawing board, most times I’m left with internal monologues which I sometimes record (if I remember)…

In the middle of the night…
Drunk with sleepiness…

Then listen to them in the morning, thinking I’ve coined up something genius. And cringey as they come, I kept the words in audio… backed up on online drives, just in case… Maybe they don’t mean anything right now or worth writing, but who knows what the near future will bring.

A writer friend suggested to publish them in blogs, as I rant on how Amazon KDP self-publishing isn’t happening as flawlessly as I wanted to. I thought that would be enough to motivate me, and to be honest… I brushed aside the idea for almost a year.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, things happen mainly for the reason to hone you in matters of Sabr and Shukr… this for me, is another. And, alhamdulillah… I’m glad TIME happened.

For context the pictures here have nothing much to do with my random rant in this post. But these are remnants of some Twitter writer tags. One is where we show our WIPs and the other, is the Penguin Classics trend that got a lot of lovin’… and of course hatin’ as well.

My domain had been on hiatus for over a year, with the recent elections drama that happened in my country (Philippines), COVID (cannot get used to) and also Sri Lanka in crisis… I just cannot peacefully go and indulge in my so-called projects. But now, the blog is LIVE… I may have posted some links here before with the #deenfluencer project that came along whilst doing some Da’wah training at MOPAcademy.org

I’m taking into consideration blogging my writings, as if I’m back on WattPad. With BuyMeACoffee, might as well make the work for member subscription only, because why not?
